At 11:00, embark on the ship of Makara Queen Cruise at Pyay. Enjoy your lunch on board. Then, we will spend our afternoon exploring Shwe Zaa Pyu village after 3 hour transferring by coach. Here, you will have a chance to discover the magnificent archaeological zone of Thri – ya – kittiya as well as the stunning Shwesandaw pagoda. We set sail in the evening and drop the anchor at Kama village.
After you finish your breakfast this morning, we will arrive at Thayet Myo. Horse carriage will be our main transportation in this sightseeing tour. The trip lasts about 3 hours including a visit to the local market, the tranquil colonial town, the rural area and the oldest Burmese golf course. Afterwards, return to the ship and our voyage continues up the river. Drop the anchor near a river side village.
We explore Minhla this morning. After breakfast, we take a 30 - minute walking tour through beautiful scenery to Minhla fort. Next, hop on a sampan for a ride (about 2 hours) to visit the 2 Italian - constructed forts. They were built under the ruling of King Mindon in order protect the Royal Burma from the invaders. After that, back to the ship and we continue to sail up the river to reach Magwe. Here, a trishaw will take us to the spectacular Mya – Thalon Pagoda where we can admire the breath – taking sunset moment. Drop the anchor overnight at Magwe.
This morning, we join in an interesting 2 - hour ride by trishaw exploring Magwe markets and the city attractions. After that, return to our Makara Queen cruise as we will keep on sailing up the river the whole afternoon. Moor overnight at a riverside village.
Sale is our next destination. We take an exciting tour around the town visiting its gorgeous teak monasteries which are famous for the intricate wood works, especially Yoke Son Kyaung monastery; and stunning colonial buildings. Then, get back to the ship for a whole afternoon sailing. Drop anchor overnight at Tantkyi Taung Village.
While you are enjoying your breakfast, our ship will approach the ancient land of Bagan. A sightseeing by coach will be operated providing us an opportunity to explore the renowned temple plain of more than 2,000 Buddhist constructions built from 9th to 13th century. After that, return to the ship for lunch.
In the afternoon, we pay a visit to a lacquer ware worshop to learn more about the traditional handicraft of this ancient city. And at the end of the day, prepare to be amzed by the jaw – dropping sunset moment in Bagan.

After finishing your breakfast, we start discovering Monywa by coach. Our first stop is the outstanding Sambuddhia Kat Kyaw pagoda where is home to more than 500,000 Buddha statues. Next up, we proceed to visit a special lacquer ware workshop in Kyaukka village where the “plain lacquer” products of only 2 colors: black and red are made. Last but not least, we pay a visit to the Aung Sakyar Stupa to observe the longest reclining Buddha image of Burma. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner onboard.
Today, we visit Ava – the ancient capital of Burma by horse cart. Our first attraction to explore is the watch tower of Namyint, then proceed to admire the beautiful structure of Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery and the elaborate wood carvings of the Bargayar Monastery. Afterwards, return the ship as we keep cruising up the river to Sagaing. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by coach for a 2.5 hour tour discovering the highlights of Sagaing.
Re – boarding the ship and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset moment over the magnificent Sagaing Hill.

Early this morning, we cruise to Mingun and explore its gorgeous sites including the second largest bell in the world – Mingun Bell, the outstanding Pahtodawgyi pagoda and the “home for the aged”. Afterwards, we sail down the river and get off the ship at Gaw Win Jetty. After lunch, we start discovering Mandalay. First of all, we visit Mahamuni pagoda – one of the most prestigious Buddhist constructions in Myanmar where is home to the revered gilded Buddha statue. Then, we will have a chance to witness the making procedures of tapestry, wood and marble carving, bronze casting, gold leaf beating as well as silk weaving in the local workshops. Next up, we move to visit Mandalay Palace, the beautiful teak monastery of Shwenandaw, Atumashi monastery and Kuthodaw pagoda.
Tonight, we will have a special dinner on the sandbank of the mighty Irrawaddy river.

1. If there is any changes regarding schedule, itinerary or times, RV Makara Queen will change at short notice. The cruise reserves the right to cancel or pospone up to 30 days before departure. Whenthe water level is too high or low, passengers will be offerd with alternative itinerary.
2. All quoted prices, invoices and receipts will be given in US dollar.
3. 10 percen service charge and 5 per cent government tax will not be include in all rates.
4. Passengers will take the responsibility for loss of baggage, money, and other personal items.
5. The cruise has the right to introduce a fuel surcharge whenever there is an increase in fuel price during the trip.
6. It is recommended for elderly clients and pregnant travelers to consult their doctor to ensure they are fit to travel.
7. The manager and the crew will try their best to ensure that there is no change happens because of weather, mechanical difficulties or unexpectied situations.
8. The policies is apply for both direct bookings and bookings through sales agents.
9. 30 days prior to departure time, cruise tickets must be issued. Passengers will not allow to board the cruise without the ticket.
10. Bookings cancelled because of extreme weather will not be refunded.
